We are often asked what it actually feels like to step into the Kashmeta campus. The best answer is to put on a headset, but here is a quick written tour of our working prototype and the spaces that students and teachers can explore today.
The lobby
Every visit begins in the lobby, a bright, open space where students arrive as avatars, meet classmates and find their way to their next session. Like the entrance hall of a real university, it is designed to feel welcoming and easy to navigate, especially for people trying VR for the first time.
The events auditorium
The auditorium is where lectures, conferences and open days take place. A presenter can share slides and video on large screens while the audience sits together in the same virtual room. Because voice is spatial, the experience feels much closer to a real lecture hall than a video call: you hear the speaker from the stage and the person next to you from your side.
The meeting room
Smaller groups need smaller spaces. The meeting room is built for tutorials, case discussions, faculty meetings and project work, with a shared screen and room for everyone around the table.
Medical rooms
The medical rooms are where clinical learning comes to life. They are designed to host patient scenarios and skills practice, giving students a realistic setting to rehearse what they will later do on the ward.
The bio-chemistry lab
In the lab, students can work through experiments and lab procedures without consumables, waiting lists or safety risks. It is also a good example of how a virtual space can stay open long after the physical lab has closed for the day.
The campus runs on Meta Quest headsets and is multiplayer by design: teachers and students share the same rooms in real time and talk to each other with spatial voice.
What comes next
We are now extending the campus with an anatomy lab, live classrooms and emergency room simulation, shaped by feedback from the educators we work with. If you would like to walk through the campus yourself, or bring a group of students, you can book a live demo or request access to a session.
